June 21st will be released the single and music video of “ONCE IN A LIFETIME” the title track of his first solo album.
On the occasion of the summer solstice and the international celebration of music, Ballard releases the final track of a long discographic work that has seen guests such as Derek Sherinian (DREAM THEATER), Brett Garsed (guitar virtuoso), Colin Edwin (PORCUPINE TREE), Adàm Marko (SPECIAL PROVIDENCE).
Ballard is a guitarist composer of progressive rock music influenced by various genres, seeking not to be confined to categories but aiming to explore a broader range of influences through constant musical exploration.
The project was born during the first lockdown in 2020, where Ballard wrote all the material and then assembled a team of friends and industry professionals who helped him in the music production process, leading to the release of six singles.
The final stage of this album has been reached with the announcement of the release of the title track “ONCE IN A LIFETIME.”
Those who listen to artists such as Plini, Vola, Dream Theater, and Porcupine Tree will have no problem being captivated by Ballard’s sonic world and his ability to create unexpected suggestions.
“ONCE IN A LIFETIME” is not a showcase of the artist’s skill but a logbook in which he has recorded seven different stories in seven distinct yet well-integrated tracks. A true gem for fans of rock/metal, guitar, and all-encompassing instrumental music.

WHO IS BALLARD?
Ballard is the musical world of Paolo Ballardini, a rock guitarist who, in his twenty-year career, has always sought to expand his musical horizons through study and on-field experience. He works as a session musician in televisive and theater orchestras for musicals (such as Pretty Woman, Mamma Mia!, Saturday Night Fever, etc.). In the progressive field, since 2015 he has been the guitarist for “Excalibur,” the rock opera by Breton artist Alan Simon. In this context of fusion, with roots in classic prog-rock, he has had the opportunity to share the stage with icons such as Martin Barre (Jethro Tull), Michael Sadler (Saga), Richard Palmer (King Crimson), John Helliwell (Supertramp), Moya Brennan (Clannad), and more.
